| Gerry MacFarlane came to the USA in 1967 at the age of | |
|
29. In 1968 he played for the Vineland German Eagles for |
|
| two years.He then transferred to the German American Kickers in | |
| 1971. While playing with the Kickers of Trenton, Gerry led his | |
| team to the the State Cup Championship in 1971. | |
| In 1972, Gerry was instrumental in starting soccer in Cape May | |
| county, and served as president for three years. | |
| In 1984 Gerry became the boy's soccer coach for Wildwood Catholic | |
| High School, winning 10 Division II championships in the National League, 3 CAL championships, and the state championship | |
| for Parochial B in 1998. | |
| He was selected as South Jersey Soccer Coach of the Year in 1997. | |
| He served as president of South Jersey Amateur Soccer League for | |
| three years, and in his 17th season as coach of Wildwood Catholic, won his 200th game. | |
